Howard serves as Head of Risk at Carrick Lane, responsible for risk policy and oversight across all investment strategies. He brings more than 30 years of experience in risk management, portfolio management and trading from both sell-side and buy-side environments.
Before joining Carrick Lane, Howard was Director of Macro Risk at Balyasny Asset Management, overseeing risk across all macro strategies including equity derivatives. He has also served as Chief Risk Officer at Phillimore Investments, Director of Macro Risk at Barclays, and in portfolio management and compliance roles at multiple hedge funds.
Howard holds a B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and resides in New York with his wife and two sons.
